A Day in New Orleans

In June, we went to visit Mobile and while there we made a day trip to New Orleans.
We had a great time!  We rode the streetcar to City Park, where we visited Storyland.  I remember going to Storyland as a child and loving it so I wanted to boys to experience it too.  We were able to spend a while there and the boys loved it!  Then we made a trip to the Children's Museum, where the boys had a great time.  We ended up taking a lot of video there and forgot to take pictures.  The boys really liked the cafe part and Andrew loved the little grocery store.  Grandmama was able to come with us and that was so nice to have her there with us.  Why she did not make it into any of the pictures, I have no idea.

Andrew turns 2 and a half !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In May, Andrew turned 2 and a half !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just like with Nathan, I felt that 2 and a half was such a major milestone.  Much bigger than his second birthday.  By this age, Andrew has grown so much and really has changed into a little boy.  He speaks so well with full complete thoughts, can express all of his wants, needs, interests and emotions.  He is potty trained completely.  Can eat anything and everything.  He is able to go up and down the stairs by himself.  It is really amazing how at 2 he was still such a baby and now he is such a little boy!  He loves dressing up and playing pretend with Nathan (like knights).  So for all of his accomplishments we celebrated with cupcakes after going swimming!

Nathan's End of the Year Performance

Nathan's school held a performance to end the school year.  Nathan did a great job up on stage!
We really enjoyed their song about the three little pigs - they were wearing sunglasses and strumming guitars - so cute!  Nathan loved his teacher, Ms. Alison.

Spring 2012

Andrew and Nathan both really enjoyed the "touch a truck" experience that they had at Bright Star Elem.

They had a great time at the Imagination Movers concert!  It was really fun!

Nathan's last Tot Shots Game

Monday night was Nathan's last tot shots game.  The team ended the season with a great game and Nathan scored 3 goals.  I think he was trying to impress his Nana and Gramps.  Afterwards, the team had a little celebration with cupcakes and trophies.  They were all very excited.

 Before the game.
Baby Noah cheering for the big boys!  So cute!
Ellie, Nathan and Quentin ready to play!
 Everyone enjoying the party afterwards

Brad Corbett, Ed.S.

Brad's graduation was this past Saturday. We are so proud of him and we are so happy that it is over!
Here are some pictures from the day.

He is in that crowd - I promise!
The boys were taking some silly pictures (graduation was a little long for them but they did a GREAT job!)

All Caught Up

Okay - so I am finally all caught up on the blog.  The problem came in when the SD card went bad (and I learned my lesson about leaving pictures on the camera) and then I didn't have a card reader for the other camera - so after many months of working on this - I am finally caught up!  Yay!  And I never want to be behind again!!!!!
I realize now that the pictures from Shutterfly are  not the best quality so in the future I will try to avoid that as much as possible.
Enjoy!

A Day Game 2012

We were so excited to get to go to the A Day Game at Auburn this year.  It was very exciting for the boys to see Auburn's field and we were able to see the new statues that they unveiled that day.  The statue that our picture is by is Cam Newton's statue - I have to say that I don't think it looks much like him.  It is cool anyways!  The weather was great and we were able to get a seat in the shade.  Yay!

Nathan's Easter Egg Hunt at School

Nathan had an Easter party and Easter Egg Hunt at school before Spring Break.  He loves school!

The Farm in the Spring

Right before Spring Break,  we got to go to a farm with some of our friends.  It was a lot of fun to see all of the baby animals.  We were able to see a baby chick, duckling, lambs, bunnies and a baby goat (which I think is called a kid).  Anyways - the boys had a great time playing at the farm all day with their friends.
