First Day(s) of School 2012

Aug. 13 was Nathan's first day of 4 year old Pre-K.  He was so excited to start back and to have Ms. Alison as his teacher again.  It is a big change going every day but he has really done great over the last week.  He fell right back into the routine and has loved everyday so far.  I think the everyday is hardest on me!
Aug. 14 was Andrew's first day of 2 yr. old CMO - he is still not sure about school but has said that he likes it and wants to go back.  He was really excited about getting a folder in his book bag!  He really enjoys playing on the playground with Nathan and all of Nathan's friends.  So cute!

The thumbs up cracks me up!

Trip to Indiana

We were able to go visit Nana & Gramps right around July 4th this year.  And, wow, it was super hot!  It was over 100 degrees most of the days we were there.  So we ended up spending a lot of time in the water.  Luckily, Aunt Beth has a pool!  We had a great time and the boys loved seeing their cousins.
The boys also loved all of the fishing that they got to do with their daddy and Gramps.

The Beach

In June, we were able to have a nice long visit with PawPaw.  Unfortunately it rained a lot while we were there.  But towards the end of our trip it did clear up and we were able to go to the beach some.  Aunt Molly was able to join us down there which was great fun!!!  The boys also got a chance to fish off of PawPaw's pier.

A Day in New Orleans

In June, we went to visit Mobile and while there we made a day trip to New Orleans.
We had a great time!  We rode the streetcar to City Park, where we visited Storyland.  I remember going to Storyland as a child and loving it so I wanted to boys to experience it too.  We were able to spend a while there and the boys loved it!  Then we made a trip to the Children's Museum, where the boys had a great time.  We ended up taking a lot of video there and forgot to take pictures.  The boys really liked the cafe part and Andrew loved the little grocery store.  Grandmama was able to come with us and that was so nice to have her there with us.  Why she did not make it into any of the pictures, I have no idea.

Andrew turns 2 and a half !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In May, Andrew turned 2 and a half !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just like with Nathan, I felt that 2 and a half was such a major milestone.  Much bigger than his second birthday.  By this age, Andrew has grown so much and really has changed into a little boy.  He speaks so well with full complete thoughts, can express all of his wants, needs, interests and emotions.  He is potty trained completely.  Can eat anything and everything.  He is able to go up and down the stairs by himself.  It is really amazing how at 2 he was still such a baby and now he is such a little boy!  He loves dressing up and playing pretend with Nathan (like knights).  So for all of his accomplishments we celebrated with cupcakes after going swimming!
